An Egyptian feminist activist and human rights defender.

She is active in defending human rights and women’s rights in particular and founded the Bint Al-Nil Foundation, which works to combat violence against women, specifically issues of domestic and sexual violence among the grassroots in several governorates of Egypt. The group started from Beheira Governorate and then worked in other governorates through awareness campaigns and lobbying, advocacy, legal and field research production, and addressing decision-makers. Also a member of the Beijing Regional Alliance and a member of the Coordination Committee of CWPAR.
